Imagine you were somewhere and you couldn't take all of this in... how much time you would spend gazing at the blue sky or at the intricacies of a small flower? How I love the new beginnings all around my house... it is like a bird sanctuary...sing on my friends. Damien and I just watched the documentary called "Expelled" with Ben Stein. It was about how very intelligent people refuse to believe in intelligent design... but if you really look closely... only the truth of God's handiwork stares back at you.

Summer is on its way!!!

So I learn a few things today from my kids again...
1. Old ways are often tried and true good ways and we should stick with them
2. Simplicity is the best... I really don't think God meant for life to be this complicated, we are the ones that did that you know. I learn to keep trying to find joy in the simple things... and let them be enough.

glorious dirt
Sleep alludes me
Movies and wine appease me temporarily
But the thought of you suffering
ultimately brings me to the end of my own remedies
down to my knees
deserving doesn’t seem to matter much now
what carries weight is the prospect of a seed emerging
through all of this dirt
bearing witness to an incomprehensible love
that refuses to be bound by what this world deems appropriate
