A time to Celebrate

My parents had a hard time keeping up with their wedding rings. Dad lost his on the honeymoon skiing and mom left hers outside while painting and someone swiped it. On June 19th they celebrated 35 years together and Dad decided perhaps it was time for a new set. We all gathered out at Berry College at the chapel where they got married so long ago and with a few sweet words the new rings were exchanged. My mom was ecstatic. She was so surprised she simply could not get over it. I mean she was repeatedly  screaming out loud and of course now she is walking around like she just got engaged or something. It was a beautiful time. They are an example of perseverance in a world that so readily throws in the towel. How sweet it was that we were all there to witness how love keeps putting one foot in front of the other.
